Mental Health First Aid for Veterans
A Mental Health First Aid for Veterans 8-hour course will be on March 18, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Elks Lodge 858 – Greenville, SC. A certificate will be issued upon the completion of the course. We welcome this class to veterans and military members and their spouses and caregivers as well as the national guard, army reserve, hospital personnel, police officers, sheriff deputies. Mental Health First Aid for Veterans, Military Members, and their Families teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care.
