Have you wondered what it would be like to walk across SC via the 500-mile Palmetto Trail? Clemson Extension Rural Health and Nutrition opened another WalkSC program, specifically for our local veterans, military members, first responders, and their spouses and caregivers. WalkSC is a virtual lifestyle-based program created to learn more about activity and healthy eating as well as explore South Carolina’s natural areas.
Clemson’s Rural Health and Nutrition Extension Program has a team of health professionals, which include certified sports trainers, yoga instructors, and lactation consultants as well as registered dietitians and community health workers.
This is a huge opportunity to build community in the Upstate. WalkSC has had 200 plus participants and been open nationwide.
It can benefit those still in quarantine and those with children as they can join. No fitness level required. Beginners welcome!
It’s not too late to sign up! Register at https://walksc.eventbrite.com. WalkSC starts June 1. The program will run until August. 31
