John is the resident director for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in Greenville, SC. John and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children: William (11), Jack (8), and Maggie (1). They live in the Five Forks area of Simpsonville. As a member of Bank of America’s Upstate Leadership Team, John is responsible for 23 Merrill advisors in Greenville and is still an active advisor with Elrod, Long & Hyatt, an advisory team within the local office. John was raised in the U.S. Air Force and is the son of the late Major General Bill (“Hoss”) Hyatt and Becky Hyatt. A graduate of the Citadel, John has a passion for our veterans and the families that support our service members.
