Partner with Us
We duplicate nothing and partner with everyone in the service of our local warriors and their families. Our case managers connect warriors to resources and opportunities in our community every single day. We invite you to join our critical mission and become part of the solution.
Hire Veterans
Employ warriors ready to contribute their skills to your team.
We collaborate with a network of employers, as well as nonprofit, staffing, and federal workforce development agencies, to connect job-seeking veterans and former first responders to new opportunities. We also support active-duty military transitioning to civilian life through the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge Program, which enables service members to gain experience in the civilian workforce before leaving the military. UWS has served as both a job host site and placement coordinator, helping service members secure opportunities with TD Bank, Jankel Tactical Systems, and other companies. If you would like to join our employer network, please reach out to us.
Volunteer with UWS
Your gift of time and talent can help our warriors thrive.
At the heart of our work is a belief in the power of community-based solutions for our warriors. Your gift of time and talent through volunteering can play a crucial role in helping warriors and their families thrive in our community.
As a case management organization, our volunteer opportunities can vary depending on the needs of those we serve. However, we our ongoing needs include:
- Attorney volunteers for bi-annual legal clinics
- Mentors for career transition, peer-to-peer support, resume assistance, and Veterans Treatment Court
- Volunteers for bi-annual collaborative events (Example: Veteran meal delivery with Meals on Wheels)
- Volunteers to support our Family Services program
Upstate Veterans Alliance Network (UVAN)
Creating stability and hope for veterans through collaboration.
Upstate Veterans Alliance Network (UVAN) is a collaboration of over 100 community organizations across 11 counties of Upstate South Carolina. Their mission is to strengthen outcomes by aligning partners, removing barriers, and improving access to high-quality, coordinated resources that support independence and long-term success.
As one of four Community Veteran Engagement Boards (CVEB) in the state, UVAN brings local veteran providers together with VA leadership. Together, we help the VA have a “boots on the ground” perspective at the local level.
UVAN hosts quarterly meetings open to all UVAN partners, service providers, veterans, and other interested parties.
