JUNE

Sundays

  • Instruments of Hope Music Workshop | 3pm-5pm | Rupert Huse Veteran Center | Instruments of Hope is a free 10-week music making workshop for our first responders, active military, and their families, including their teen Bravo Explorers (ages 13 -17).  You do not have to have a guitar to participate in the workshop. This workshop prepares participants for their 10 free individual guitar lessons. Click the link to register.

  • Teen Internship Interviews | Teen Internship Program starts on Monday, June 10th until Friday, July 26th. Interviews will be conducted for this opportunity for teens of veterans or first responders. Call Virginia at 631.506.9669 for an interview.

  • Bravo Explorers Theatre Camp with Warehouse Theatre | 25 of our Bravo Explorers (4th grade through 8th grade) are invited to participate in our 2nd Annual Bravo Explorers Theatre Camp! This is a week long event. Our theatre camp is FREE to our Bravo Explorers! RSVP at the link.

  • Vantage Point Foundation – Post 9/11 Spouse Program | 9am-12pm | Rupert Huse Veteran Center | This is a free two-day course among post 9/11 Veterans’ spouses that gives the tools and guidance to embrace new opportunities and establish connections with other transitioning partners

Friday, September 13th

  • The 2024 VET Summit | Greer City Hall, 301 East Poinsett St, (Greer) | The VET was designed to address challenges associated with the transition process, as well as uncover opportunities for veterans and military spouses. This free conference includes speakers, a resource expo and networking. Hiring companies and veteran advocates are invited to attend. | Click the link to register.

JUNE

Saturday, June 8th

  • Hero Fest | 3pm- 7pm | Harley Davidson of Greenville (30 Chrome Drive, Greenville, SC) | Celebrate that military spirit and connect veterans with other local veterans to build camaraderie within the community, provide resources available to veterans and spend a few hours of fun with live music, food trucks to kick of the summer.

  • Bourbon, Beer & Bingo – Retirees Event | 6pm | Tucker’s Restaurant (3501 Clemson Blvd, Anderson) | Join United Way of Anderson County for this special event for retirees!   • RANGER | 7pm | The Peace Center (300 S Main Street, Greenville). | This event falls on the 19-year anniversary of the largest loss of Special Operations life since the Vietnam War. There is a first-hand account of war seen through the lens of a Special Operations soldier, Sgt. David Waterhouse.
