An 84-year-old, Army Veteran served from 1949 until 1974 when he retired. Fast forward to present day. His health is deteriorating. His diabetes is growing progressively worse. Because of this, he is losing his sight and having trouble getting around his home in Greenville County, South Carolina. He has his wife there to assist him, but she is also having difficulties of her own.

One of our Greenville County Fellowship Program participants was able to connect him and his wife with the Piedmont Agency on Aging. Because of their effort, the agency is sending a case worker to the Veteran’s residence to do an assessment and get them assistance.
