Army Veteran Gets New Home
Randall Brock served in the U.S. Army for three years as an Infantryman. His house and camper were both destroyed by a fire and he had been living in a metal sided woodshed. With the approach of summer, it was crucial to find housing for him that was comfortable, safe, and habitable. Randall’s neighbor called Upstate Warrior Solution after hearing about them through Vets Helping Vets in Anderson to see what assistance was available. Our team reached out to our network, and two generous donors from the community stepped in along with Vets Helping Vets and members from His Vineyard Church in Greer to provided a camper as well as funds to make necessary repairs to the camper. When Anderson County Warrior Advocate, Josh Colburn, delivered the camper, Randall was shocked: “I couldn’t believe you guys would do this for me.”
Thank you to the community donors and Vets Helping Vets in Anderson for your generosity and support! It’s through collaborative efforts like these that we are able to assist Upstate veterans with urgent needs. Together we are changing lives for the better!
