Spartanburg

Throughout the month of October and until Veterans Day 2019, Whatta Wash Car Wash partnered with us to hold a matching fundraiser. If you donate $5, Whatta Wash will match it with $5 so it actually doubles your donation! Whatta Wash has also living and deceased vetean signs for Veterans Day for sale. Purchase red, white, and blue signs for living veterans, and black ones for deceased veterans. The signs are $15 for purchase. If a $15 sign is purchased, they will donate $15 to UWS. Purchase a sign by filling out this form: https://bit.ly/35wyql9. We would be incredibly grateful if you have or are able to join us by stopping by one of the Whatta Wash Car Wash locations (2414 Reidville Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301; 2171 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307; 1685 E. Main St., Duncan, SC 29334) or filling out the form (https://bit.ly/35wyql9). We appreciate you for your support!

Tri-County

We are pleased to announce we filled our Fellowship Program positions. Webley and David Gaffney will be the new fellows for the next nine months!

We have been collaborating with Purple Heart Homes Upstate SC Chapter, National Guard, and the Oconee County VSO’s to assist a Vietnam veteran who, due to health issues, was living in the worst possible living conditions. This veteran is in desperate need of home renovation assistance and home adaptation assistance. All of the organizations listed have partnered together to work over the past month in assisting this veteran. Now, we need help with the work load due to the size of the project. Because of the magnitude of this project, we need 10-20 individuals on October 22 at 9 a.m. to work for around 4-5 hours in Seneca, SC at 1919 Industrial Park Drive, Seneca, South Carolina 29672. Tom with PHH will have all the tools and equipment necessary. If you want to help, please email mwebley@upstatewarriorsolution.org. Thank you so much! We appreciate your support.

More updates will be up next month. For more information, check out our Facebook or website calendar. We hope you have a great rest of your October!
