Frank N. served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. As of this year, 2020, he lives in Greenville County and suffers from Alzheimer’s. After being the primary caregiver, Marilynn realized she needed help. Hoping to receive assistance with her husband, Marilynn reached out to Upstate Warrior Solution (UWS) at the beginning of March.

The UWS Greenville Warrior Advocate Janice Oliver and Fellow Shannon Sports went to meet with Mr. and Mrs. Neal. Our team referred the husband and wife to the VA Clinic in Greenville. Shortly after our meeting with them, Marilynn enrolled her husband in the VA and received an appointment. After attending the appointment, Marilynn reached back out to our team and said they are on their way to getting in-home assistance for her husband.

Frank and his wife are one of the many veteran, or warrior, families, whom UWS assists and connects to resources and opportunities. Now, his wife has the help she needed when she first reached out.
