Warrior Success Story: Matt E.
Our UWS outdoor recreation events may be on hold due to COVID-19, but thanks to a 2020 VA Recreational grant we hope to have a packed summer and fall schedule. In the meantime, recreation can still be a part of your daily life. We asked warriors to send us a small testimonial and picture to share how they have been using the quarantine time to get outside, while social distancing. Here is what one of our warriors had to say:
Going outside for a walk allows me to breathe some fresh air and listen to music. I appreciate the soft surface that this trail provides. My shoes and custom orthotics are provided by the VA, (and through Advanced Prosthetics) in the upstate. Without them, I wouldn’t be able to participate in daily exercise.-Matt
