Warrior Wednesday: Jorge Lagunas
Today’s #WarriorWednesday is Jorge Lagunas! Jorge served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2006 and was stationed in Germany. He was a COMSEC repairer, which means he repaired communication equipment that had cryptographic capabilities.
“I did a deployment to Iraq in 2003, and it was the best time while I was in. It was a time when we truly bonded with each other.” Jorge continued, “While I was in the service, I lead by example, making others want to follow and work with me. Even now after the service I still work hard, work smarter, and am able to work well with others. I am fortunate to work with an organization that helps veterans, and this is something that I have always wanted to do.
Jorge is currently a fellow in the #UWS Fellowship Program and is able to directly engage with veterans.
Know a warrior whom you think we should feature? Nominate them!
To feature them, we need a description of their military service as well as to know what they are doing now, what they enjoyed from service they incorporate into their life today, and what is one goal or passion they are working towards. The information can be sent to newsletter@upstatewarriorsolution.org along with the warrior’s name and how they can be contacted.
